Sudbury Star July 31, 1915: Richard Fensom Sr.
The death of Richard Fensom occurred at the residence of his daughter in Sudbury on Friday morning, July 30 at the advanced age of 76 years. Deceased had been ailing for some time but took seriously ill only a week ago. Deceased was one of the best known and most progressive farmer in this section. He came from Chesley, Bruce County where he was engaged in the milling business, over twenty-four years ago and took up land near Nairn. Today his farm is the model of that section and one that will stand comparisom with the best of Ontario homesteads. In religion he was a follower of the Church of England in politics a Conservative. Besides a widow he leaves Richard Jr. on the homestead; Mrs. Rands, Port Arthur; Mrs. S. Jessop, Sudbury; Miss Nellie Fensom, Sudbury; Albert Fensom, Cochrane; Arthur of Alberta and George of Sudbury. The funeral takes place tomorrow (Sunday) internment being made at the Church of England Cemetery.
