  Notes	From "Arthur Letts" biography - Richards father gave him a trip to Australia as he had done well at school. He left England on 25/9/1849, passed Madeira, St. Helena, so must have gone by Cape Horn, landing at Adelaide, Australia on 11/1/1850. At least 18 people died on the voyage, some of cholera. He stayed in Australia for a couple of years and then returned to England where he married Caroline Coleman in 1855.
